Good Points

Easy to install and frontal lights give a good status indication.

Bad Points

Frequently causes the computer to "hang" due to power consumption. Unfortunately, BT blame the computer manufacturers, where as the blame lies with the modem. A powered USB Hub might solve this problem though.

General Comments

The BT Voyager 100 Modem is compact and unobtrusive. However, the functionality of it leaves a lot to be desired.

BT provide it free as part of their broadband service, although it would be a real cheek to ask users to pay for it.

The main problem is that the modem uses a lot of power causing a drain on the computer. This in turn can cause a computer to hang.

The only solution appears to be to re-boot the system.

The modem also can have problems when used on an Apple Mac computer, as it often fails to be recognised by the computer (the driver is really bad). The only solution to this problem is to disconnect the cable and re-connect it again.

If you have the money then I would suggest buying a different nodem and using that instead.
