Accurate, powerful, real wood stock and metal receiver, super easy to pump, handles nicely.
Still a multi-pump, somewhat difficult to load with a scope, breech lever stiff.
Another stellar view for a stellar rifle...
The Daisy 22x is an accurate, powerful rifle that has plenty of knock-down power. Since it's a .22, this rifle has plenty of punch and a pretty good range. I've found that this rifle still has plenty of power at 30+ yards, and with the right pellet you can take down some of the bigger specimen of small game.
The disadvantages with this rifle are few and far between, but the one that bears mentioning is the breech. It functions perfectly and with little flaw, but the lever to open and close the breech is quite a bit more stiff than what I expected. This, of course, is just something to get used to. The other problem I ran into was trying to drop a pellet in with a scope mounted on top. It became a bit more difficult to load with Daisy's 4x32 fogproof scope on top, but the accuracy made this problem easily sufferable.
One more thing worth mentioning, the pellets lose their push power under about 6 pumps, making quick second-shots somewhat hard to achieve. However, I cannot discredit the rifle for simply being a pump; after all, this rifle is a cinch to pump.
All in all, this rifle is at the top in its price range. Good power, good accuracy, good looks and feel, good price.
