General Comments

Having used three replacement T28s, Ericsson UK finally gave me a R310s which after a few months had to be replaced as it developed the same faults as the T28. Powering off spasmodically, battery charging not correctly. Faults with SMS address book recall, then phone refuses to power on at all.

My Brother has also had T28s and R310s replacements and ALL his had the same faults after only a few months of use.
So between two people, we have had 7 T28s and 4 R310s in the time span of 6 months. All packed up and died on us.

Verdict: Do not buy either of these phones at all!
Believe me, they will work fine for a few months, then start to malfunction big time.

I have used Ericsson phones since the excellent GF337 in 1994 ! Sadly, I will not be buying Ericsson again.

My phone was upgraded to the R310 and have had a few problems with charging and a microphone problem but would change to anything else as I would kill every other phone in six months no worries.

It's interesting to hear about these problems. I have had several mobile over the last few years and appart from one nokia and one motorola I have stuck to Ericsson. I have used a GF768, A1018, T20, R310, R320 and am now using an R520. I have not experienced any unusual problems with any of these except battery life drop but only significantly on the older phones with Ni-MH batterys but this can only be expected.
