Hiking is a sport/pass time that you can do any time of the year. It can also be very sociable.
Bad Points
If you get it wrong in extreme conditions you can die.
General Comments
After spending to years with a mountain rescue team in south Wales, I have appreciated the out door a little more. My partner and I often take a trip to north Wales to climb Snowdon and Tryfan, I've done all sorts of sports from down hill mountain bike racing to running 36 miles, but I never tire of what the great out doors can offer.
We are planning a trip to Mont Blanc next summer, I'd be interested in hearing from people who have been and can recommend a guide and/or places to stay?????????????????????????????????????????????
Also which is better (Mountain Equipment PCT 2) or (MSR Zoid 2)?

We did the Tour de Mont Blanc with them a couple of years ago and will be contacting them to guide us in climbing Mont Blanc soon.
Ask for Chris (Longbottom hence the LB of the name. He is a Swiss/Yorkshireman!) or Cedric. Two very enthusiastic young guys. We had a brilliant time with them and on the walk. They also do cycling tours all over mainland Europe and the Med.
