General Comments

Got the Beeman RX-2 .22 today and couldn't wait to fire it. Picked up a tin of Beeman .22 Silver Arrows. Believe it or not but up here in Cheese land (WI.) they all call airguns toys and don't put to much thought into stocking ammo for them. I was lucky to get the tin I got and the kid at the counter was incredulous that there was a difference between pellets at all! Took it into my basement cause it was already dark out and started blasting at five ring pistol targets from 25 feet into a pellet trap and loved the grouping. Pellets mushed to about the size nickels; boy howdy the squirrels are going to be surprised. The laminate stock is a beauty but whoa does it add to the weight! The comb is barely suited for ambidextrous (I mean lefties like myself) but that's just the lefties weight to bear in this right handed world - you get what you get sometimes and got to smile all the same. Finish is nice and hard and not brittle at all, and it's darker than I thought it would be which suits my tastes just fine, the barrel and receiver are nicely blued and the finish looks tough as nails to boot. The machining is top notch and not a loose screw to be found. I didn't think the trigger was tough at all and I really liked that it is two stage - gives me a chance to squeeze instead of jerking, something I know I will appreciate when the shot really counts. At 48 lbs to cock its one tough bugger but I can feel a rhythm to it that should settle in with time. The lock time is incredible, no sooner than I pull the trigger but I hear and see the target get nailed right where I was aiming. Huge difference from a traditional spring and I am really glad I bought it. I was looking at the RWS M350M because of the power and price (200 FPS faster and $200.00 cheaper than the RX-2) but I sure am glad I got the Beeman, its just way to cool. It is a big gun in terms of weight and length so not for everyone; I'm 6 ft and 212 lbs. so I have no problems with it. On the other hand my wife is 5'4" and 115 lbs and it's way too much for her period. So handling gets a point off just cause I know it takes a pretty strong person to enjoy. Squirrels and rabbits going to hate it. Hee hee hee.

Put a sling on this rifle and you'll have a great time hunting with this tack driver.
I also believe the extra weight contributes to the RX-2's great accuracy.

    Just my $0.02...

You made the right choice. The RWS 350 Mag is a very good gun but can't compare to the RX2. Your gun is just as powerfull as the RWS anyway. RWS tends to over estimate it's guns velocities while Beeman tends to estimate more conservatively. I've read several reviews on the 350 mag and it seems to average more closely to 1150 fps in .177. It only hits 1250 fps the first couple times it's fired. Once most of the factory oil in the chamber has diesled out it slowes down. After the 350 mag is broken in (1000 shots or so) it looses another 8% of it's velocity. This puts the velocity down to about 1060 fps with average grain pellets. ( 7 to 8 grains) The RX2 doesn't have a spring so there is no loss of power over time as with spring guns. Your gun is over all about the best factory gun available. Only a few other gas ram guns will compare, Theoben's Eliminator for example. Spring guns aren't even in the same league.
