Good Points

Nice to look at, seemed to meet all requirements.

Bad Points

Element blew after only 20 months

General Comments

Purchased the Creda Colonial 48189 to replace my 20 year old Belling, after only 20 months the element on the Creda blew & had to be replaced at a cost of £65, the electrician said the lifespan for a cooker element is usually at least 15 years, so what happened to my under used oven?
Wrote to Creda, but they haven't even bothered to reply.
Not the most reliable of products or manufacturers!

You should have spoken to your local trading standards as you may have a case of a product that is not fit for the purpose. The shop is responsible
for this. The trading standards could get involved if the shop will not assist. If you paid by credit card and the shop no longer exists then the credit card company could be held liable. In any case Creda should have replied. They do allow a 50% charge in some cases but you should niggle the shop owners for the full repair cost
