General Comments

Dyson DC07 - Quote from Dyson: "It's not designed to suck up dust." Broke within 3 weeks of purchase. Repair man didn't repair it but charged £46 for taking it away for 3 months and "cleaning it", which he didn't. Had to get replacement parts posted from Dyson direct and fit them myself -- still does not pick up anything. After-sales lady who couldn't see what our complaint was about and threatened to take us to court for not wanting to pay for a repair which hadn't occurred and which we had not authorised. I HATE DYSON!

I completly agree with you. The advertising slogan of not losing suction is misleading. I have been told by dyson that is not designed for "fine dust" and that it canot be used for DIY, picking up ash from from around the fire, and today it has again stopped working after picking up dust from under a carpet I was replacing (even after I swept the floor first and picked up all the dust with a dustpan prior to using the dyson) The machine I've dot is approved by the allergy foundation !!!!

When you think how that sychophantic pillock bleats on about GOOD DESIGN all the time, and then try and actually use this over-styled, feeble, fragile, awkward product, you have to ask "Where did it all go so horribly wrong after such a promising start?"

I agree completely--I had an old model DC04 which was OK so I bought the DC07 about 18 mth ago--I have had to have 2 hoses replaced and now the machine will pick up virtually nothing !! I have cleaned and washed the filters--and for a while it seemed OK but now is it USELESS again. My friend and sister in law also have a DC 07 and they have the same problem--I will never buy one again--I am now buying a sanyo equivilent which is less than half the price and I have heard brilliant reports of. Interesting the Which report still rate Dyson the best--I think its the worst.
