I have a 2002 Ford Galaxy 2.3 Ghia automatic people carrier. Although I find it very comfortable to drive and easy, quick and versatile, I have found the number of mounting problems a pain: twice the pre tensioner has needed replacing (makes a high pitched noise), the service by the Ford company has been appalling (hence reason I will not buy another Ford in future), the petrol consumption, even for an automatic, is horrendous, and getting spare parts has been a pain.
Plus spare parts need replacing all the time, despite having had it for just 2 years.
The front tyres also seem to wear quickly and need frequent replacement.
I'm afraid I wasn't impressed. My previous car, a BMW, was a far better, sturdier, more reliable build.

i have just bought a galaxy and i have the same squealing noise when driving. i'm unsure if i should take it back and get my money back as i have only had it three weeks and it has been in the garage being repaired for two of those. Don't think i would ever get another Ford.
