Good Points

Good velocity and accuracy, smooth cocking, reliable. Mag is easy to load.

Bad Points

Looks and feels a little cheap.
Grip safety, ejection port, slide lock not functional.

General Comments

When I started collecting spring pistols, I passed up the Airsoft Tanfoglio Tanfoglio Witness 1911 several times because it looked a little cheap. Besides, the UHC 1911 was heavier and it had more bells and whistles - grip safety, etc.

Big, big mistake.

When KWC designed the Tanfoglio, it's obvious they were going for functionality first. The looks are so-so, the weight is way too light... but the actual operation of this gun is very good. Cocking is much smoother than anything else I've tried, I've clocked it between 280 and 310 fps, and it almost never jams.

I really don't think there's a better spring pistol anywhere in it's price range. It's a lot of fun to shoot, and my other pistols generally can't hold a candle to it.

One last thing - this pistol is a little hot for a sticky-target, and I've actually had BB's out of this gun shatter when they hit one. That's about the only reason I even shoot my other pistols anymore - the lower velocity is a little tamer for indoors.

great reveiw. i have a tanfoglio and i just love it. i was wondering if you would happen to know if the lever above the trigger does anything ( i think it's a slide release but i'm not sure and am afraid to try it) and if it is the slide release how does it work???
