General Comments
The Dualit D889 espresso machine makes some of the best espresso that I've ever tasted. It produces 2oz of excellent coffee with lovely flavour and a good crema. That's what I bought it for. As far as coffee production is concerned, the only poor point is that it would often run out of steam and need re-heating before my milk was properly heated.
For the money, it is pretty good value if all you want is good coffee. If you're looking for a style icon, this probably isn't it. The steel face plate is awkward to keep clean and the plastic body does feel a little cheap although the pair of steel espressos cups and saucers are of outstanding quality.
I am now having to replace mine after three years of heavy use. The heater/pressure vessel has corroded at the bottom and started to leak more water than it produces coffee.
I am sad to have to replace it as the espresso that it creates is of such excellent quality.

I've had mine for 6 years now. So I'd say the reliability is excellent!
