Good Points

Bed good, shower good, cleanliness of room/complex excellent - there was always someone brushing up, bug spraying, mopping etc. Beach was lovely and plenty of choice of eating places. Weather was good for time of year.

Bad Points

Although the staff were efficient - there was only one barmaid who we saw smile the whole fortnight. They were surly and miserable and did not appear to want to interact with the guests. The food was tedious after the first week and just about luke warm. A bit of a pain having to chose which bar to use to get whatever drink you wanted as bars closed at certain times and spirits were only available in certain places. Nightlife non existent and the 'nightclub' was a spare room with a few chairs and tables in it and a CD player. Could be made much, much better!!

General Comments

Although, overall, the holiday was OK it could have been much better. Every part of the Elenite Holiday Village Villas was accessible by steps so OK if physically able. We went on a trip to Blue Mountains and up the Chair Lift which was lovely, though the highrise flats on the way were a depressing sight. Nessebar was a lovely place to visit and so was the village in the mountains which was original and very picturesque. Scenery was great - vineyards - mountains - lovely pine forests. The restaurant Italyana on the beach was beautiful at lunchtime and in the evening but it closed part way through the holiday. The Bulgarian restaurant was good too, especially when we had a folk dance/singing display into which we were invited to join - good fun and very entertaining. We found the food boring and lukewarm at the self-service restaurant though the salad bar was full of choice. We ate out a couple of times and that was good and very cheap. Nothing to buy except for cheap designer copies in the shops - all the same!! Safe for kids as they couldn't really get lost but not a lot for them to do apart from the Animation for an hour around 8 ish. They played good music in the Animation but no one danced!! Probably because all the kids were running wild all over the show - good idea to limit kids time till 9 and then adults after as good space for dancing etc. It was frustrating as the facilities were there but were not organised and the whole complex could be made to be much better with a little more 'customer care'. Probably that is what was lacking the most although the Animation team did try and their little shows were quite good.
