Bad Points

Inefficient processes, I had to spend a considerable amount of my time and effort chasing them, they took the booking incorrectly, they did not fulfill their terms and conditions.


General Comments

I ordered a hire-car online through airline network about 3 weeks ago. The main reason that I went with them was I saw in the Terms and Conditions when I was booking the car that I could get the car delivered to my accommodation in Sydney. The order progressed ok and I received my invoice - only showing my payment to them, no car hire details - in the post. Then I realised that I hadn't actually received anything that had the details of the car hire on it, so I looked back in my email communication with them and realised I should have received a voucher. So I contacted them ... well, I attempted to contact them ... it would seem there are a multitude of phone numbers and I rang 4 before getting through to the correct person. The voucher would arrive on Saturday, they said. It didn't. So, emailing and telephone calls continued and eventually 3 weeks after placing the booking, 3 phonecalls and about 10 emails later, I received a fax of my voucher and a voucher in the post. Thankfully I had this much time to spare before I left the country, otherwise I'd have been up the creek without a hire car. Anyway, then I realised that on the voucher it didn't say anything about the car being delivered so I contacted them AGAIN and someone got back to me a day later. Quote "they (Budget) will not do the delivery due to it being a privately rented apartment". So, what a waste of time and effort and I have to go and collect the car anyway.

Absolute rubbish. I am highly aggrieved at my dealings with this company. Why didn't they find this out and tell me in the first place.

Don't book with them unless you want to spend hours on the phone and emailing to confirm everything. And I haven't even got to the bit where I get the car yet....
