Good Points
For speakers that are over ten years old and pioneering the trend for which all manufacturers are now intimidating, they are still one of the best around. They sound as good as they ever have. Crisp top end, and deep powerful bass provide with no distortion, or crackling even at high volume. Bose may be pricey, but you do get what you pay for.

Bad Points
The sub takes a while to position itself to maximise bass potential. The price.

General Comments
I have owned these Bose speakers for 12 years. I've never been more pleased with somethiing I've bought. Everything I desire from a speaker (for home), it delivers. For a speaker that is a a grandfather compared to the ones on the market today, it'll still wipe the floor with the majority. Also,look at your home cinema sound system, where have they got the design from? If every manufacturer is imitating these, there must be certain attribute to the design. Bose is a market leader, and has few competitors who can honestly compete. If you want powerful sound whether it's beethoven, or voodoo and serano, these speakers will do your music proud.
