General Comments

Looked around for a DSLR for about 12 months now, ever since the Canon EOS300D shook the photographic world with a £999 DSLR Camera.

Looked at the 10D, 20D, Nikon D70 and still came back to the EOS300D - Reason? - Simple really, VALUE!! The 300D (with 18-55 Lens) I bought cost me £615! A better photographic bargain you will not find (at the current time!)

At the end of the day you need to look at what you want and will use in terms of features (the EOS300D lacks some advanced features) of the other DSLRs.

Certainly, I decided that the features it didn't have I probably wouldn't ever miss in any case.

The final photo will challenge even the most ardent photographer in terms of pure quality, a lot is said of picture quality but remember this - the final print in your hand will probably never be any bigger than, say? 7" x 5"? and at that size I doubt that anyone would notice that the photo was taken with a £600 DSLR and not a super high spec. £1300 one!

If you are planning on printing BIG posters then think carefully - but, even then, this is 'probably' all you will ever need!

Don't get led astray by those who slag off the 300D/KISS/Digital rebel just because its old - don't follow the well trodden path of others, cut your own tracks and save a pot of money!
