Bassy, blow hole in the front of the unit, can be placed flat against a wall.

Loses some of the high detail when loud.
General Comments
Was very dubious when purchasing from Richer Sounds for 69.99, but I was in dire need of new speakers. I could not find any information about them on the internet but decided to take the risk for the price. Teamed together with a shiny new Cambridge Audio A5 amp they really do surpass my expections. The Bass is punchy & clean & can be heard from from a great distance!! Was informed that Aural Envelope are on old established company that used to design high quality headphones. These are apparently one of their first speaker products & I think they have successfully created a wonderful pair of budget speakers. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I intend to have these speakers for many years but for the price if they only last me a year I definitely have my moneys worth already. If any one is looking for their first floorstanders, couple with a decent powered bi-wireable amp & you'll be laughing. Another amazing bargain from Richer Sounds & a beautifully crafted pair of speakers from Aural Envelope.
