General Comments

Fransen Futura - Before my Futuras, I had Babyliss steam straighteners I had bought from Argos for £30.00 but they were rubbish on my hair. I bought my Fransen Futura hair straighteners nearly two years ago from my hairdresser's salon for £50.00, a considerable amount less than the price of GHD's and they work just as well. The chunky handles make the job of straightening sections quicker. My hair is naturally very thick but these create a slimmer, sleek effect. When I first got them they kept my hair straight for up to 3 days but after about 6 months it had to be straightened every day in order to gain the same effect. Although these straighteners take up to 2 minutes to heat up, as opposed to a few seconds in other rival brands, this does not bother me as I can brush my teeth, etc., while they are heating up. They also have safety buttons to prevent someone from burning their finger. When I first got them, I did not use a heat protective spray and as a result got many split and dry ends. However I invested in "Lee Stafford poker Straight" which is great for protecting your hair. Last week my straighteners broke after 2 years of owning them so I rang the salon which I bought them from, who were quite unhelpful telling me that as they were 2 years old the warranty was up, but nevertheless, they gave me the Fransen contact number. Fransen was extremely helpful and within two days had sent me a replacement spring and installation instructions and told me that if I could not fit the new spring to send the straighteners to them and they would fit it. They were extremely helpful when by law they were not entitled to send me the replacement spring, etc., as I had broken the spring. However on the day they broke I ordered GHS straighteners off the internet for £30.00 although I have not used them yet as my Futuras are fixed.
