Good Points
High rpm power/low rpm torque, shaft drive, ABS brakes available, excellent fuel efficiency

Bad Points
Hot left leg on warm days. Stock windshield too small.

General Comments
This Yamaha FJR1300 tourer motorcycle is excellent. Here in the States we have to put down a deposit, then wait 5 months for the bike, without even having sat on one. I took a chance and I couldn't be happier. The engine will pull strongly from 1500 rpm in top gear. Power above 6000 rpm is incredible. 52 mpg on the open highway. (I think that's 22.2 km/liter or 4.51 liters/100km to you Brits, hope I did the math right) The suspension is supple over bumps, yet firmly planted. Brakes are powerful. I like the 5-speed transmission. With enough torque, you don't need 6. I think our 2005 model year is your 2004.
