Soft tip, I prefer a slightly harder tip but I guess it's personal preference and can easily be replaced.

General Comments
I've been absolutely delighted with the Royal Snooker Elegance Cue since I bought it and I've been unstoppable at my local club. Beautifully balanced and made, just as I'd have expected from a hand made cue. The best thing about the cue though is that it only cost me £49.99, amazing. My local club sell something similar for about £120 and the splicing on their cue is painted on, so I wasn't expecting anything special but I'm over the moon with my bargain buy.
