Good Points

Good picture.

Bad Points

Noisey speakers and no progressive scan.

General Comments

I owned this TV for precisely 2 days. I ordered it as Philips, and the supplier, both stated it had progressive scan.
It quickly transpired that this was wrong and a call to Philips confirmed this. They could not explain why their website said it did.
Despite this I thought the Picture was really good. Nice and bright.
I decided to put it back to the supplier for a refund as, apart from the incorrect info about progressive scan, the sound was spoiled by very loud hiss from the speakers. Whether it was TV or DVD being used, this very audible hiss spoiled things and resulted in you turning up the volume higher than you would normally.
I would also question the point of a built-in radio. I didn't even try that pointless function.

I think you're connecting something wrong here.
This TV handles up to 720p, so it's impossible that there's no P.Scan.
Are you sure that you connected the component cables and if they are right?
Please let me know because I wanna buy this TV too, and it's the first time I've heard about this.

This TV does not have component connections!
    Definitely not!
If you want confirmation of this get down to a local shop and check the back of the TV yourself, but I have owned one.
I bought component cables thinking it would accept component/progressive signals from my progressive scan DVD player but it cannot.
    Only the usual scart/composite/computer connections.

If you check the user manual, you will see that External 1 (Scart) has RGB input, therefore you need a RGB-Scart connector. I have hooked up my Panasonic progressive scan DVD player to it and it works perfectly, with no hiss.

After 6 months or so of ownership, I'm very happy with this TV.

RGB does not mean progressive scan.
Almost every DVD player allows RGB connection, but this does not mean they are progressive scan capable.
Progressive scan is mostly associated with component connections, which this TV does NOT have.
