Plenty of power.
Heavy, large, no pre-out/main-in capability
I bought my Sansui G9700 receiver off E-bay about a year ago. 2 hundred bucks, I recall. It had a blown left channel that my GENIUS repairman quickly diagnosed and repaired, and it has worked beautifully since. It is out in my garage, and runs four Sansui SP-3500 speakers wonderfully. I wizz off a lot of neighbors sometimes, so I gotta cool it when I'm playing CD's of Zep and Hendrix. I do wish it had pre-out and main-in jacks on it, but Sansui chose to leave this feature off on this last generation of the "G" series for some reason. Probably ease of manufacture, who knows. This feature allows easy hook-up of a powered subwoofer, should you find the need for one. But it is a solid performer and has all the power you are ever likely to need and if you have the right speakers, a subwoofer isn't needed anyway. It is certainly head and shoulders above ANYTHING they sell at Goodguys or Circuit City, or any one of a dozen other places. What I'm looking for now is a G33000, the very ULTIMATE receiver. Then I'll be selling this on E-Bay. But in the mean time, this one is hard to beat. She is a beauty that will last forever. They're built THAT good!
