General Comments

The Bioflow Horse Rug is one of the latest additions to the Bioflow magnotherapy range made by Ecoflow plc.

What makes this rug special is the inclusion of no less than forty of the Central Reverse Polarity magnets which are exclusive to Ecoflow plc. These magnets are strategically placed to cover the shoulder and hindquarter muscles, therefore providing an ideal boost to the circulation and perfect for use following exercise.

The benefits of magnotherapy are well documented and the Bioflow Horse Boots and Tendon Wraps have been in demand for some years and have been credited with some remarkable results in recovery from injury. As the Horse Rug was only introduced in March of this year (2004) the results and recommendations are still being received and consequently there has not been the same amount of publicity. I am quite sure that this situation will change in the near future.

The rug is made of blue mesh fabric with sheepskin padding around the neck. It has blue trimming and straps. The mesh fabric makes the rug 'breathable' and lightweight enough to be worn under other blankets. It has cross-straps under the belly with both "touch and close" fastenings and a clasp around the chest to make it a secure fit.

The rug comes in four sizes: 160cm (5'3"), 175cm (5'9"), 191cm (6'3") and 198cm (6'6"). The recommended retail price is £390 for all sizes. Anyone who recognises the benefits of magnotherapy will realise that this is a very competitive price for such an article.

Ecoflow also have a 90 day performance guarantee and a twelve month guarantee against faulty parts and workmanship. There is also a Customer Loyalty Scheme whereby the customer returns the old item and is credited with 50% against the purchase price of a new replacement. If you have a horse who thinks 'fun' is ripping rugs this can be an added bonus as usually it would mean paying the full price again! You could say - been there, done that !

Ecoflow/Bioflow products are only available through Independent Distributors and are not sold directly by Ecoflow or saddleries etc - unless the owner is a distributor of course.

Would I recommend this item? Most certainly as I know the benefits myself.
