General Comments
Squier Standard Strat - I got a Squier Standard Stratocaster 3-tone sunburst, tortoise pickguard and white pickups less than a month ago. It is really beautiful in looks and feel. Its tone is fair. Stratocaster guitars like this are suitable for playing alternative and distorted rock. I was a little amazed at its looks. There were imperfections like, some dirt caught inside the polyurithane finish. The neck alignment isn't perfect. The frets look dirty.
I cannot yet comment about the tuning because I'm still hoping that the store will replace my neck with a 22 fret neck. The guitar body isn't for a 21 fret neck. Because of that, I can't intonate it to the exact tune.
This guitar is the best for it's price! It's really nice and I also got a free thick magazine called "Fender Frontline" which is a catalogue for a lot of Fender guitars and stuff.
I recommend this guitar not for beginners. It has a Floyd-Rose style bridge not for beginners. I swear that you'll have a hard time on adjustments.
By the way, the guitar I bought looks like John Mayer's favorite and most-used guitar!!!
