Smart Looks, Small Footprint, Low Price.
Fuzzy at higher refresh rates.
I Received my Relisys TE770 Black this morning and on removing it from the packaging was very impressed. A lovely clean, simple design and in a smaller casing than I was expecting.
Installation was a breeze, simply plug in and switch on.
I am used to a 15" monitor running at 800 x 600 and so was looking forward to being able to run at 1024 x 768.
Initially all seemed fine but after a while of using the monitor I began to get a headache & noticed the screen was flickering slightly.
I checked the refresh rate and found it was set at 60hz (Too low for my eyes). I set it to the maximum of 85hz and the flickering disappeared - Perfect.
Unfortunately this also causes the display to go slightly fuzzy - especially the text and this also causes headaches after a while.
800x600 at 85hz is excellent though and this is now my setting. 1024x768 will have to wait until I can afford a TFT.
If you are sensitive to flickering at low refresh rates then you may be best not getting this monitor. If not then I would certainly recommend giving it a look.
