Good Points

Looks real. Good feel in hand. Fun to shoot

Bad Points

Lots of plastic parts. Front non-adjustable sight too short, causing hits to be high at short range.

General Comments

The Gamo R77 4 is a fun gun to own as it has a realistic double action and an 8 shot capacity. You can shoot lots of pellets quickly with this gun. Practicing double action shooting with the Gamo will no doubt improve your skills on a real DA pistol. It's good enough to teach new shooters the basics of DA.
Accuracy is ok, but the velocity has a pretty large spread even with a new CO2 cylinder.
Not a target gun for sure, but something the whole family could enjoy knocking over cans etc.

My chrony revealed the following in 2, 10 shot strings with a new CO2 cylinder:

1st string:
Daisy Maxspeed wadcutter:
Hi: 388.5 LO: 344.8 Ave: 359 Std Dev: 14.24
2nd string:
Gammo Match wadcutter:
Hi: 366.9 LO: 316.9 Ave: 345.1 Std Dev: 17

As can be seen there is a large spread in velocities, even with a new CO2 bottle. I would think the speed gets worse as more shots are fired. Reguardless, it's a fun gun for cheap, quick fire, plinking.

I agree about the front sight - I modified the REAR sight and now it is spot on at 8 metres but FIXED-Araldite..
"CO2 Pells" by Crosman (actually wad cutters made by Prometheus) or normal Prometheus 4.5 mm, increase MV by about 20% and are also non toxic.
Gamo Rounds (4.5 mm lead balls NOT the 4.35 steel BB's) go well, and do not ricochet.
