It handles like it's on a rail, accelerates hard, and brakes well. It sounds great, and the fit and finish are exceptional. Also, unlike the competition, the Z4 comfortably seats me (at 6'3" and 230). The warranty and service program are exceptional as well. (For the first 4 years EVERYTHING, including regular servicing, is included.)
Bad Points
This is not a practical car. It's just a toy - a wonderful toy - for a long weekend at the coast or a fun drive through the countryside on a sunny afternoon. It's also expensive for a tiny little sports car, and BMW parts are a complete rip-off.
General Comments
I loved the BMW Z4 sports car. It was an absolute joy to drive. My only complaint is the price and the price of all the BMW parts and components. I can't imagine why this car needs to be, for example, 40% more money than a comparable Honda.
We're still likely to buy one...It was THAT much fun.
(My reliability review obviously means nothing...but I had to fill in a value, so I entered 10. I didn't have a basis for entering anything lower.)
