    Hi shuggins0,
Great review - thanks for the info. I've been with them for 5 years and have saved loads on my phone as well as gas and electricity. They've also just announced a 256 kbps broadband connection at £15.95 per month - that's only £1 per month more than I've been paying Freeserve for my dial up connection for the last 3 years.. goodbye Wanadoo.. :o)

    Hope this is helpful.

This company may appear cheap when you compare it to BT but I think BT are probably more honest. Look for the hiden charges and the overcharges. You might just change your mind.

I suppose TL is just another Utility Warehouse Distributor? Will you tell us please. Here goes. 1. Fixed phone costs overall are higher as UW charge 4.7p connection cost for every call including calls answered by a machine (more than BT Toucan and Tele2). 2. Electricity and Gas on the face of it are cheaper until you add in the £24 p/a membership fee check your local savings against membership costs 3. Mobile costs are not the cheapest on the market and UW charge £20 if you want to move your mobile number to a cheaper provider (restricting your right to move at any time in the future). 4. They can change your contract without written approval and without your agreement. (I can prove this and have complained to Oteleo ) 5. The only way you can make overall savings is to take all services and how many people want an 0800 number for home. Probably enough said. If TL wants to comment lets have some constructive comment. There are better fixed and mobile phone companies offering better deals than Telecomplus/Utility warehouse. Also the technical helpline for Broadband is a rip-off. Premium rate number. Telecomplus/Utility warehouse offer cheapest electricity at tarriff rates but charge a membership fee. To get the bonus you must take other services and these communication services in the main work out more expensive than the competition. Remember check the small print - there is lots of it with TP Utility Warehouse

I am a customer...yes I pay £21 per year membership...I save over £200 per annum on Energy..I save £60 per year on internet..I pay £19.50 for my phone (BT charge about £25 for BT option 3) and I pay 8p per minute on any calls I make on my mobile... savings in total over £300....all for £21 per year?..Still puzzled by your comments????

Hi TL - If you are saving money good for you. However not all will save. You continually compare to BT try comparing to other companies and you will find that your savings will be much less and you are probably paying too much. There are much cheaper mobile suppliers also. Many people only have electricity and not mains gas. Here the electricity will be more expensive when paying membership. So taking it all into account UW energy tariffs may be cheaper but with membership are more expensive. Mobile service is cheaper from other suppliers with no £20 penalty and upgrades are much easier to effect. Overall UW APPEARS cheaper because of the energy hook but for most customers it will not be. Rather than comment check out the competition you just might get a surprise. Unless ofcourse you are a distributor as well and earn commission on your own bills. Why don't you tell us if you are a Distributor for UW or Not.

you sound like you've had some experience with UW. what really have you got against them? interesting to know who you're supplier is so we can all save!

for info..I moved from Talk Talk to T+ along with moving from British Gas and Seeboard...I have been with UWDC for 4 months but I plan to save just under £400 per year..That pays for a holiday for me:-)
