Makes lound noise when I use the copy and feature using stand alone machine.


General Comments

I purchased a Lexmark X6170 from staples and it cost me the $199 for the machine itself. I got the 2 yrs for free using a code that staples provided then they added tax and everything so it becomes a total of $217.95. Anyway when I received the unit it made a loud noise it should not have made a loud noise. I tested in different stores and 10 machines ONLY 1 worked and made no loud noise. This is ridiculous. Then I made an exchange and called staples and when I received the unit guess what? It made the SAME loud noise again. I called up Lexmark and they said its defective. I said this to them I had 2x the same machine that was defective. That wanted me to have another exchange I said to them I want a REFUND. That's it I have no time to wait for another printer to see if it works or not. Lexmark does NOT check there printers to see if it is in a good condition and they just send it. This is NOT a good business practice. I am going to order the HP Officejet 5510. I hope that is better then Lexmark's X6170. Even if HP machine has problem they would still check there machines to see if they have any defects and then send them even if they are refurbished to customers.

DON"T EVERY BUY LEXMARKS PRINTERS OR MULTIFUNCTIONS!

Oh by the way their ink is BAD quality. I use photo paper and it print with dots I even set to the BEST quality using the software and stand alone machine and it prints so bad. This is sad for Lexmark.
