General Comments

I bought a JVC XV-N33SL player as a birthday present for my girlfriend's brother, after shopping around for a cheap dvd player. At NOK 990 (€110/£80), it seemed like good value. I didn't even try it in the shop, just bought it straight away, thinking it should be a fairly good player, being JVC and not one of those cheap computer hardware brands. I installed the player to his hi-fi/tv system when he was at work, and was immediately surprised of the great picture and sound quality when I got it cabled. What a bargain! It doesn't have SACD or DVD-A, but hey! JVC, which in my (earlier) opinion always sacrificed "feel" for "tech", has made a dvd player which still would be good value, even at double price!
