Overall Rating
- Value for money

Catches baby's attention
Stimulating and fun ideas
Reasonably easy to set up
Bad Points
Keyboard does not limit keystrokes to one-at-a-time, so baby can punch multiple keys at once and crash the system
Software seems to require some de-bugging--often crashes for no apparent reason
Keyboard has a tendancy to shift position when strapped to a slightly curved keyboard making alignment a tricky thing
General Comments
We were thrilled at first with the Baby Keyboard. Our 1 year old was delighted to have her own computer time, and started playing right away.
The idea and the game concepts are great, but the company should have tested a little more with toddlers. Every small child who has played with this has hit multiple buttons at the same time, causing the game to crash. It seems it would have been simple enough to avoid this problem by making one key operational at any one time.
Vigerous playing can also result in the baby keyboard shifting slightly on the adult keyboard and missing the proper keys. This can also cause crashes.
Finally, the software itself seems a bit unreliable and prone to crash without provocation. All in all, opperation has been frustrating for me and my toddler. She loves the games, but I've started hiding the keyboard from her to avoid tantrums when it crashes. At this point, we spend more time rebooting the game for her than she does playing, and that's no fun for anyone.
We've looked for a software patch with no success.
It's a great concept, but the execution leaves a little to be desired.
