Overall Rating

Good and clearly laid out statements/bills.
Bad Points
Custmer service (or total lack of it).
Awful, rude staff at the singlepoint/4u retail shops.
General Comments
N.B. Singlepoint is the service provider and Vodafone the network.
My main complaint is that once you agree with someone at Singlepoint on anything, it is never honoured when you call back. They literally deny ever having such a previous conversation and will not put you through to the same person again. Suggest you tape record your conversations!
When upgrade time comes around, you have to write to them cancelling your contract and only then will someone call you with a good new deal. Very dubious business practice.

on 25th Sep 2004Actually I have 3 accounts with Vodafone directly as well and they always provide a decent service and a good new contract very year without the unnecessary run around of 'pretence cancelling letters'. You may find it acceptable standard business practice but in my opinion its just backward thinking negative sales tactics which in this day and age seem rudimentary. Shame you feel giving a good deal from the start is the same as 'dropping your pants' as you say lets hope the attitude does change, for your sake.

on 8th Dec 2004MMMMMMMMMM I find it hard to believe that you have had a better service from Vodafone in terms of sales than you have at Singlepoint.
Vodafone have actually reconised that Singlepoint sales are 3 times better than Vodafones, in terms of retaining customers.
Vodafone have adopted ALL of Singlepoints sales guidelines in the hope that they will become as successful.keen observer
on 14th Dec 2004Despite the fact that you may find it 'hard to believe', the fact stands that what I have said here are my personal experiences and the experiences of several associates having accounts with Singlepoint & Vodafone. You are making definate statements here but I wonder how much water they hold without some sort of evidence confirming your comments.

on 16th Dec 2004Frankly I think the comments made here and on other comments say it all about the SP service. They won't concede fault on anything with a firm belief they are always in the right.

Standard business practice. If we 'dropped our pants' for every customer calling in after 12 months then we wouldnt have any special deals to offer and in turn not create as much revenue. Send in your letter and we will call you almost immediately and move heaven and earth to keep your business. It's called customer retention and many many of Singlepoints old school customers know the score. It's that simple. A lot of other service providers do the same (you may be familiar with the term bartering?) If you send a letter to cancel you'll get THE BEST deal ever. Since being bought by Vodafone the service IS and WILL improve dramatically!! (They aren't the 11th biggest co in the world for nothing) Singlepoint have made mistakes/been awful to some customers in the past and thats a fact but none is perfect. Give it time as the proof is in the pudding. It's already dramatically better.
