General Comments

Although Parque Tajinaste Apartments is located 20 minutes stroll downhill to the main square 'Plaza del Charco'(we got a taxi back most nights costing approx 3.50 euros), Parque Tajinaste Apartments are located in beautiful grounds with quiet surroundings. We found all but one of the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our rep - Lara was lovely. During the day most people were out and about so the pool area was relaxing and quiet. The pool bar/cafe/restaurant offered a choice of buffet style 'eat all you want' continental breakfast for 4 euros or a small choice of cooked breakfast from the menu, the lunchtime menu choice was limited but sufficient. The pool bar closed at ten o'clock at night, which was a shame as we enjoy a nightcap, but from another point of view, there was no loud partying in the evenings. We found our apartment to be clean, tidy and well furnished with plenty of storage space, there was a maid service nearly every day. At night a security guard patrolled the grounds giving a feeling of safety. Puerto de la Cruz is a lovely resort with mainly Spanish style restaurants/tavernas serving a good choice of dishes- if you want 'Brits Abroad' eating/dinking places, they can be found but don't obviously stand out (which personally I liked). Whilst we were there, we saw no timeshare salespeople or lager louts weren't pestered heavily by the street sellers and were never cajoled into any of the restaurants. All in all, this is one of the best relaxing holidays I have experienced and I would definitely recommend Parque Tajinaste.
