Good Points

1)Problem-centered approach for each chapter and solutions to the problem, within the chapter.
2) Covers most of the main tasks that a Web developer would want to perform using PHP.

Bad Points

Don't know if this is a bad point but it is not meant for advanced users of PHP. The audience for this book is strictly *PHP Beginners*.

General Comments

Ashok Appu, Making Use of PHP - Contrary to the other review posted on this site, I being a beginner with PHP, found the book quite informative. This book uses a problem-centric approach to learn PHP. It defines a problem at the beginning of a chapter and discusses a structured solution to the problem in the chapter. This book might not be ideal for advanced PHP programmers but is a worthwile buy for PHP beginners.
