kity's Review of Dave Pelzer, A Child Called It

Overall Rating
- Value for money

This book is absoloutely brilliant. I have never read anything like it! Dave Pelzer must be one of the strongest of people I have ever heard of to write about and try to live a normal life after everything he was put through. As I am a teenager myself and come from a very loving family it was shocking but brillliant in its own way to read how a weak boy tries to fight for his life.
Bad Points
All in all I could not find one bad point in this book. Even though parts of it are rather disturbing, I could not put the book down and it is lovely to find out that he is now leading a happy life and a has a son who he loves with all his heart.
General Comments
Dave Pelzer, A Child Called It - My favourite part is the 1st chapter, The Rescue, especially the last paragraph but the best part of the whole book is the last sentence of the 1st chapter....

I just got the books "A child called it" and "The lost boy". I have already read the first one and I'm half way threw the second one and I fell in love with the books. I felt like Dave was sitting there telling me his life story. I couldn't put down the book, I cried and I felt his pain. I feel so bad for him and for ever other child out there that has to go through abuse. If you havn't bought the book you should! It's worth every bit of the money!!!!This is the best book I have ever read!!
