Good Points
Comfortable long legged tourer with outstanding looks, real bike feel and plenty of opportunity to style it all your own. I have never seen two identical bikes. The luggage is well made and capacious although it is not as easy to remove and carry around as some. This is a touring bike for those who still remember what a motorcycle feels and sounds like.

Bad Points
It's not as versatile as a Heritage, one day a custom the next a tourer, the next retro 50's and on occasion a twisties fiend. (You guessed eh, I've got a Heritage)

General Comments
If you are attracted to the idea of some serious long distance touring and like the idea of hiding behind a screen with some protection from the elements then this Harley Davidson Flhri Road King tourer is the bike for you. Everything is just so but it doesn't fall into the trap so many others do of becoming just another fairing on wheels. This is still a real motorcycle. You can feel that engine lapping up the miles. Not an uncomfortable feeling just an awareness, almost a togetherness. You and your bike, an open road and the living is easy. You can hear the bike but like a lover, not a nagging, whining boss, this beauty is always talking your language. What am I on about! Sorry I just think these bikes are something everyone should experience just once although I suspect you'll find it hard to give a test bike back.

I just bought a 2001 FLHRI Road King here in the New Country. I have ridden Harlys for years but I love this tourer. The "RK" is roomy, agile, and powerful. Although I am only 5'9" and 210 pounds (sorry, I am not into stone and metric),I find the bike a real pleasure to ride. Try one on for size today.
