Lee Harris, Civilization and Its Enemies - How do we preserve the values of Western civilization from the onslaught it faces from Islamic terror? How do we prevent a rogue nuclear strike with weapons developed inside small Arabic states that support terror as a weapon? The methods we have devised to defuse potential warfare between states won't work in defeating ruthless enemies who hide from us. This thoughtful, clear and purposeful book presents on practically every page an idea, an insight that will, if it gets the readership it should, help us all to understand and deal with this major crisis. If you want to know more about the enemy, the dangers of relying on Clauswitzian war, the rare virtues of the west, and the necessary gamble we must take to save the liberal world order, its all in this book.
It has inspired me to prepare a paper, to make a small contribution to bringing this book to increased public notice.
