Good Points

Kassiopi is still not totally wrecked by commercialism. Beautiful scenery with lots of variations on which to spend your time. The airport and the company in the Villa Bacchus spoilt what should have been a great holiday. Kassiopi is a lovely place with lots of lovely people living in it. Well worth a try. If the Villa is restored to its former peace that too is well worth a visit.

Bad Points

Semi-detached half of the villa let out to 2 students who seemed to play their music even louder than in England and who showed no consideration to guests paying good money to stay at Villa Bacchus. Shame because it's brilliantly situated but the bads outweighed the good of last time. Corfu Airport is now totally inadequate if you go at a busy time of year. I've seen bigger villas! Chaos reiged and the stress lost in the week (if not lost at the students) went in the departure lounge.

General Comments

Villa Bacchus is a Lovely traditional villa with fabulous 360 degree views, including Albania, olive groves and mountains. A great pool attracts swallows and bats (and students!). Secluded with tortoises and snakes around. Traditional style. sadly the introduction of 2 students into the adjoining property wrecked the peace and beauty of our previous visit. Nearest place (approx 800 metres) - Mickey's bar & restaurant (excellent). Supermarket 200 metres further. Kassiopi very lively place with many good eating places and good agencies at which to book excursions (Recommend Cosmic). Make sure you go to Albania; it's both interesting and an insight into where tourism will be increasing substantially in the not-too-distant future. The Sunset Cruise at night is lovely including a visit to an excellent taverna.
