Twickenham, Modern British, Austin's Bar and Restaurant - Is this the same restaurant I visited recently? The bar and restaurant or as it is known locally "Austins," if so, then the previous visitors are very much mistaken. I have visited this restauarnt about 15-20 time since they opened and can honestly state that the service, food and atmosphere is without doubt the best in the area, or, as TimeOut said in the recent review, "A-grade everything." I know the owner, Tom, he is a very profesisonal person and always bends over backwards with the service. The food is fantastic, honestly it is, I dine with friends there, two of whom are very snobbish when it comes to thwre food and drink, and they really like it I think, and I might be wrong, but I know the success of the A bar, and it is hugely successful, particularly when you realise that it's tucked away on the back streets of Twickenham, has upset a few local bussiness. Might the real origins of the two last reviews have their origins in that?
