Good Points

Quick hosting.. when it works. Not too expensive.


Bad Points

Poor reliability. Slow support, not 24/7 as advertised.


General Comments

Streamline.net at first seems like a good bargain - the unlimited bandwidth offered in particular seemed to me to make the deals offered a bargain. The problem is that you get what you pay for. For the short period my site was with Streamline my site suffered a great deal of downtime, and one instance when files were lost after a server went down and was restored from a backup. The downtime did not seem to be linked in any way to the amount of bandwidth my site was using - the system simply seemed generally unreliable. The support line also seemed lacking - the sales website stated 24/7 support, but the support that was offered to me was an answerphone (only manned during business hours) and email forms (only answered during business hours). I switched away from Streamline in 17th September 2004, when things did not improve after repeated complaints so obviously there's a chance they might have improved since then.
