Nice and light to fit on to nikon's new style of lighter weight cameras. yet still having a solid feel about the build of the flash.
Only lightly powered and doesn't work with all features of all of the more modern cameras. ie the digital cameras.
Also, has no zoom head, coverage up to 28mm lens
Using the Nikon SB- 22 flash unit with F65 and F80 it will take excellent flash photos of indoor sports inside large dark halls.
Using 400 iso film the flash photo has even lighting and not much of the big flash lighting drop off that can affect other units.
Using rechargeable Ni-MH baterries of which it takes 4. I can shoot well over 8-10 films at full power before needing to recharge the batteries.
With the more modern plastic nikon cameras the unit is well balanced and does not feel top heavy as a SB-26 might do.
These photos are used for various small newspapers and the flash with the cameras predictive focusing will give you sharp photos all the time. the exposure reading is usually f8 at 1/60.
And as it doesn't have a zoom head, they can be brought very cheaply.
