Good Points

Quality of build, light weight, solid, great looking, power, accuracy, the price & the after sales service from Falcon.

Bad Points

Hmmm, not many here; can't use a stirrup pump with the quick fill adapter/silencer to charge the rifle. But hey, who uses a stirrup pump anyway!?. One final point, the number of shots per fill (20-45).

General Comments

Firstly, the Falcon FN Lighthunter-8W is a great looking compact PCP rifle. With its walnut skeleton stock & brass parts, it's very nice indeed. Not very long at 33'' inc. QF silencer. Apply a silencer & this increases the length of the barrel thus increasing muzzle velocity.

This rifle is very accurate, with a 1/2'' grouping at 40 metres. Very powerful too, enough to completely obliterate a standard 10.00mm thick bathroom/kitchen tile at 30 metres. I didn't expect it too but it did, oh yes indeed it did! I stood the tile up against a fence & took about 30 good steps back, took aim & fired, ''crack'', it wiped the tile of the face of the earth, nothing left of it! This was even using very light Bisley Practice pellets (flat heads). Just imagine what it'd do to a poor bunny's scull, ooh, no thanks! Also at 30 metres I can nail a bottle top, many times. Accurate gun, eh?

I joined a local gun club & the Falcon light hunter FN8W got some serious attention there for its good looks & accuracy (accuracy, not all down to the gun. Mostly down to the marksman & the scope!). People that blame the gun, nahh! The gun clubs range is 50 metres & I achieved 1'' grouping, not bad. Other members said they were going to bend my barrel, ha ha ha, excellent!

This gun fires between, I'd say, 700/900fps at 12ft/lbs, great. Anyone know how to get more power out this thing? I'm not complaining though!

Buy one of these guns, go on, and oh go on! It's a great gun, you'll love it to death, and I do.

Thanks.

i found the tuning guide available on ebay very useful, as it went into detail about all the parts of the rifle with a full strip explaining how it all works and what all the compents do!
