Family freindly, value for money, stunning location, freindly and helpful owner, fantastic free range eggs and home cured bacon!!
Maybe the showers and toilets are basic but it is a campsite not a five star hotel!! There are no bad points in our opinion.
My partner and I, with our two small children (5 & 20 months) first came across nant-y-croi a month ago whilst searching for campsites in cardigan. we arrived for a weeks stay to be greeted by the most stunning sea views and Gordon on his quad!! there were acres of space from which to choose our pitch and in which our kids could run riot!! on site there is use of a laundry room with fridge-freezer, washer/dryer and huge double sink with hot running water, all of which were a godsend to a family with kids, a small donation is all that is asked. the farm has a variety of animals and our loved the fact that nowhere seemed to be out of bounds. just a short walk across a field and you arrive at the cove where we frequently saw dolphins and seals and I caught mackerel, Pollack and dogfish (although not quite enough mackerel according to garden!!). there are plenty of fantastic beaches nearby and cardigan is only a couple of minutes drive.
we enjoyed our week at nant-y-croi that much we returned four weeks later with our friends in tow and we plan to return 'muchos-plenty' next year. over all we would not hesitate to recommend nant-y-croi and the kind hospitality of Gordon and Mary to anyone who is after peace, quiet, stunning views, a warm welsh welcome and fantastic home cured bacon with free range eggs!!
