This does shave as close as a blade

General Comments

The Braun Shaver is not the cheapest on the market. And if you are like me, some things I hate paying for, but this little jewel is worth the money. I tend be somewhat demanding on a very close shave, but I hate using blades that tend to cut and bleed me too often. Mach 3's are nice, but they slice you up too easily. I had a braun system a few years back, but the electric wasn't as good as I had hoped. I made up my mind to try the best and most expensive one out there.

The cut of this thing is quite unusual. One thing I would not recommend is the "3-minute" shave that they claim the average person does. I personally use 5-10 min shaving while I check my e.mail. Take your time and stretch your skin. After you'll find that your face feels as good as it would if you had used a new blade which is VERY unusual for electrics.

The best part of this is the cleaning system. You put it in and let the machine clean it. And believe me that it's "completely" clean as if it were new. Some reviews say that the cleaning solution is too expensive and doesn't last long enough. I find that somewhat amusing since if you are willing to pay for this shaver, the cost of a few dollars a month to keep it cutting like new everyday is a very small price to pay. And use it EVERY day..don't try to skimp on the cleaning.

The cleaning case has a nice filter on the bottom that collects your hair, facial oil, dirt and other bits and deposits them in the plastic container. After a month of clean shaving, the solution turns very dirty, hair collects in the bottom and using this solution for another month doesn't seem to be the best decision for a clean shave. If you like the feeling of a nice clean shave, use the cleaner every day, don't be cheap by adding whatever and use a new cartridge and you will NOT regret buying this shaver.
