amazingly gripping
Dave Pelzer, My Story: "A Child Called It", "The Lost Boy", "A Man Named Dave" - Most people are surprised to hear I have read such an overwhelming and emotionally draining book, but as far as I am concerned, this book is a masterpeice. Not only does it highlight the truth about what goes on behind closed doors for many abused children but it also has an extremely important moral message at the base of it: you can survive anything, and come out on top. Whenever you feel life has treated you badly, pick up this book and realise how extremely lucky you actually are.
