Good Points

Very reliable to date
Vast array of features including:-
Integrated card readers (Memory stick, SmartMedia, SD/MMC, CompactFlash)
160GB hard disk
Pioneer Multi-format DVD/CD Re-Writer
Sony DVD-ROM 16X
512mb DDR 400MHz 64 bit memory
Stereo TV
7 x USB2
2 x FireWire / IEEE1394
6 channel audio
etc, etc, etc.
Excellent connectivity

General Comments

Bought from Aldi during November 2003 so I have had about 10 months use of my Medion Titanium MD8080XL. It cost £850 without a monitor. I have derived nothing but pleasure from using this machine and exploring it's many features - to date I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Medion to those on a limited budget who seek to get the very best value for their money. At the time of purchase I also bought a Medion surround sound set of speakers (about £30 from Aldi) which included an active subwoofer and these connected to my Titanium are excellent although I haven't enjoyed them fully as the guy next door is bigger and younger than I!!!!

If you are thinking of buying a Medion computer or other product then I would recommend that you go ahead and I feel sure that, like me, you won't be disappointed.

After such a glowing review I should point out that I have no connection to Medion and am in fact a bus driver in Norwich, Norfolk!!

    As at 19 May 2008 I'm still using the same machine - still working well after new card reader installed - it's on it's third graphics card - the previous two Medion fitted cards became faulty.
    My opinion of this machine has now lowered somewhat - it isn't a bad machine but the aftersales is poor in my opinion with no one willing to take on any problems - you've got a problem? - so? - you get the idea.
    The engineer sent to this computer appeared as though his whose knowledge was very basic as far as I am concerned - he spent a great deal of time trying to straighten the pins of a CompactFlash card reader - almost impossible! - anything but replace the reader itself!
    Needless to say, the reader failed yet again and produced upteen error messages.
    The machine had to be returned to Medion - or rather their repairers - loads of false promises, missed deadlines, parts unavailable (had to send to Germany) etc, etc - eventually, after a number of weeks, my machine was returned - found a couple of screws rattling around inside the casing, cardreader loose, two LEDs missing from cardreader.
    Do not recommend
    Neither Medion nor Aldi were interested in my complaint in my opinion - well, it's working now isn't it? thats all I got as far as I am concerned.
