Good Points

Hotel excellent with great facilities, even though I had a single room, plenty of room and bath/shower facilities excellent. Food outstanding Breakfast selection very good and evening meal at 6 courses superb. The Hotel service staff were attentive , polite & helped with my German

Bad Points

Bar although excellent in size, drinks etc lacked atmosphere- lack of use in the summer months by the hotel guests

General Comments

I spent 10 days half board at the Hotel Deutschmann on a walking holiday in August 04 & found it to be one of the best family run hotels I have stayed at. The hotel was spotless & with new whirlpool& steam room to back up the sauna & fitness room the additional facilities were exceptional.
I had a single room which was perfectly adequate in size with an excellent bath & Shower with plenty of hot water. Cleaned daily the rooms were spotless
The food was of a very high standard & never had a repeated evening meal option in the 10 days- The evening meal consisted a hearty 6 courses. Breakfast was self service but with a wide variety of options available, also provided was a pack lunch for each day inc in the package price.
The service staff were excellent friendly, attentive & with a nothing is too much attitude. Even helped develop my German as I tried to use my limited vocabulary.
The main let down was no-one really used the bar in the evening other than a stalwart half dozen even though it was a large welcoming bar with a good drink selection & again attentive bar staff.
The resort itself if very quiet on an evening but this is negated by the excellent walking trails, 50 peaks over 3000m and spectacular Glaciers. Hi would recommend highly for the walking enthusiast who wants a quiet drink & relax on an evening before planning the next days walk.
