General Comments
I've used Nero since 4.0. I prefer the file tree interface, but the "wizard" interfaces work better for casual users. Nero 5.0/5.5 seemed to have some issues properly writing DVD-Video discs. Problems seem to have been solved in 6.0/6.3. With Nero 6.3, I can burn DVD-R Videos at 8x and have them play flawlessly in my fussiest stand-alone DVD player. The price has steadily climbed with each version. In Ahead's defense, they have added a lot of additional programs, but I don't need, want, or use most of them. I'd rather have the option of the full-blown CD/DVD burning program, without the rest of the programs, for less money. The whole suite is nice for a one-stop media center package, but power-users tend to mix and match apps to suit their needs.
