Crashes to blue screen, crashes to black screen, will not load up, had to go inside and move stuff around at their request which then voided warranty.

General Comments

I was in contact with the better business bureau whom then informed me that cyber power denied ever being contacted by me in the two years that I called them constantly. Within four months my computer crashed and I was instructed to reformat the hardrive, which cost me my college papers. Two weeks later the same thing. It would crash to a blue screen, and then eventually not even that. Now I am past my 10th reformat and it still crashes all the time. I was denied my request for the inhome warranty that I paid for, and then my warranty was voided when I was instructed to move something inside. This company is something else, and if I ever make it to California I WILL BE HAVING WORDS WITH THEM.

I was a split hair from buying a notebook PC from CyberPower, but after 2 unanswered emails asking for additional info, and 1 phone conversation with an noticeably ignorant sales person, I went on line to look for independent reviews of the company before placing an order. Reading all the negative reviews convinced not to buy from this company.

My advice to prospective desktop system buyers is to learn how to assemble and set up a computer yourself. A local college MA provide the necessary classes. Then buy quality components at a place such as FRY's Electronics. They refund/replace parts with no hassle. Then assemble the machine, install your software, and you will be happy ever after.

My 5-year old home built machine crashes only when spyware and the like finds its way into the system. But with a good firewall, good spyware removal apps, and a good anti-virus app., you will quickly be back in business.

    Avoid the vendor trap!
