General Comments
Great quality, and nothing compares to the flexibility of an SLR - especially being used to film-SLRs. I've used (not owned) Canon pro-quality digital SLRs and the 300D build is not in the same league, but if you are careful with your cameras, you should have no problems. I thought the 18-55mm lens was a bit slack, particularly on chromatic aberration, but it keeps the price down, and there is the option of other EOS compatible lenses. It's also worth buying a second battery (be warned - not cheap) as only Canon's battery pack can be used.
