Great cast of characters and acting.
Frankly quite boring.
Spike Lee does it yet again! And by that I don't mean he has created a box office smash without 'really' producing the goods, I mean that he has made a film, which by the time you have finished watching it, leaves you feeling "what, was that it!"
I'm sorry, but in spite of the fact that this is an exceptionally well casted film, with Ed Norton conclusively proving that he is 'in spite of his so far only relative Hollywood success' one of the best actors around, it is still lacklustre and, dare I say it, boring.
It is not a deep and meaningful plot with twists and intricate undertones that leave you lost in mediation for hours after (contrary to other opinions) and though the characters do have an adequate amount of depth, the inadequacies of the plot leave you with little wonder why this failed to be a box office success.
You may mildly enjoy this film but it is far more likely that by the end you will seriously wonder if it was really worth the trip to the video shop.
