Bad Points
Battery life without rechargeables is poor.

General Comments
Quality of photos is excellent, although my Pentax Optio is the 4 megapixel version. In addition, it has a great movie facility with excellent sound recording abilities. You can also add sound bites to photos. The camera has a vast range of different coloured filters you can apply after you have taken a shot, as well as a panaroma facility. The lens is housed within the body, and therefore does not protrude beyond the body of the camera. This may be important if you are looking for a camera for real outdoor use. Combined with its waterproof and dustproof weather protection, these facilities make it an extremely robust camera for active outdoor use.

The camera also has a vast number of different shooting modes, and can focus down to 1 cm!

Battery life is not impressive with normal batteries. Get a set of NiMh rechargeables and this ceases to be an issue.
